Did any of you see the walrus on Goals on Sunday this morning?

At one point he referred you our manager as SLAVIC, ffs. Could have been accidental mistake I suppose, but then again perhaps that's how he refers to him in private.
He reckons the pressure will be on Bilic next season to repeat his performance this season at the Olympic Stadium next. Well we know that, you fat cunt, why mention it?

I was just being an Arse mate, like Sam with the ear cupping.

This thread never stopped giving, so good on you, you probably knew when you wrote it the old goat would not go down without a Gum chewing fight.

35 points in 30 matches. Just about scraped survival. Hardly the triumph many are claiming. Credit is due, but let's not go overboard.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
I can't see why so many on here are so snotty about Sam. Fair enough, we didn't like his tactics and he made some remarks about the "West Ham way" which threatened our sense of being special.

On the other hand, he was appointed by our board and did the job that they hired him to do. No-one can say that he did anything unexpected in imposing a boring but (to an extent) effective playing style on the Club. When he left, he did not claim to be a victim as others have done, and while he was manager he was generally good humoured.

I am therefore happy that Sunderland avoided relegation (especially at the expense of the Toon and their awful owner), and shall go back to enjoying the fuzzy video of us beating them 8-0 in the glory days.

It did
Ranieri is supposedly one who also likes to give players extra days off if he can

Re: BIG SAMMY'S DONE IT AGAIN!!
I really wanted them to go down, but you cant deny what a job BFS has done there.

Kharzi looks a decent player and Defoe looks very good.

I'd even take Defoe to the euros.

Well it worked, didn't it?

Sky saying Sunderland didn't train before the game last night after Chelsea and that Allardyce has given them the week off before their last game at Watford.
TYPICAL SAM

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Unlike WHU him and Sunderland are a good match. He'll turn them into the leagues anti-football team and their fans will take it.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
I would have loved to see them go down but it's no surprise really - this is what he does. It's all he will ever do. He can do nothing else.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
He's done well to keep them up in all honesty.

I thought they were absolutely nailed on to go down.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
great achievement keeping them up, mid table next year and then the fans will get the hump with the brand of football and he'll be moved on again.

I'm absolutely gutted they've stayed up.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
You see, this is the thing: Allardyce is good at keeping teams up, we know this.
BUT that is his level, although himself and Keys would try and tell you differently.

Private Dancer 9:01 Thu May 12
Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
I take the point ref the previous managers keeping them up, but for me each 'achievement' should be judged on its own merits. Fact of the matter is that Allardyce has done well there, would be silly to argue otherwise really. I didn't think they would stay up.

Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Your right Sven the Spanish waiter comes in earlier and it would have been goodbye to dry lips pards and his ultras. Terribly bad decision all round by Ashley. Bonkers way to run a club, absolute suicidal bringing in McLaren. I wonder if Rafael us gonna go down with them?

Sven Roeder 8:44 Thu May 12
Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Their recent record is bizarre with them falling down the table , changing the manager & then crawling out of trouble before repeating it the next season.
Is that 4 identical seasons now?
I think Benitez made a difference at Newcastle and if they'd sacked McClown a couple of months earlier I think they would have stayed up comfortably.

Sydney_Iron 8:37 Thu May 12
Re: The Sunderland Relegation Thread
Did a job for them, so credit for that, if he stays then i bet they turn on him by Christmas as odds on they are in the mix for the chop again next season, bit like Villa, only a matter of time before they go down.
